What a wonderful World.

On Saturday Ben and the kids and I all went up to the top of Munson Creek. It was a fascinating drive with Phenomenal views. We love to use our wood heat, so then we aren't paying a fortune to heat our home and I just love the feel of the wood heat. It gets kind of expensive though if you can't chop your own wood. ( like last year when we had to buy all of our wood) so either way it costs a lot of money. So this year we wanted to be a little more cost efficient when it came to heating our house for the winter, we got some nice friends that have access to the forest, and a chainsaw, and borrowed a truck(so we could each drive one) and head to chop wood ourselves. Okay so it was a lot more work, but totally worth it. I took tons of great pictures cause I just couldn't resist. Ben thought I was a little bit nuts, but who knows if I would ever make it up there again.

Satan???

Well it has been a little bit funny lately listening to my 3 year old talk. He loves to talk to himself and if you interrupt, he will say "Hey I am just talking at my self." We just laugh....well anyway I decided that I wanted to make sure that my children knew who they were and where they came from. So one night I laid down with the New Testament scripture reader and started to explain the plan of salvation to my children. It was great they asked questions and I explained everything that I could think of. So when we got to the part about Satan, I explained that he was a very bad guy and that he wants us to be mean and do naughty things. Briggs was totally enthralled. So now he walks round the house telling everyone that is doing something wrong that they are following Satan and that they are going to live in a bad place if they don't be good. Oh geez.....maybe I blew it. I love the fact that he has some reason to be good and he tells me every time I asked him why he did what he did and he says, I was following Satan I don't want to follow him so I will follow Jesus next mom. How cute!!!

Little Clippers here I come!!!

Allysen's first day of Preschool at Little Clippers!!
At first Allysen was really excited to go to school until she found out that we weren't going to stay. The tears started rolling and soon she was having a melt down. After going now for 2 weeks she is excited again with out the tears. She knows that we will come back for her and she has found out how exciting school really is.

After just these first 2 weeks Allysen came home from school on Wednesday and showed me how she could write a "B". I was so impressed that I continued to ask her what other letters she could write. She proceeded to write all of our names and more. I was so proud and completely shocked what a little Superstar!!!

County Fair....

And as you can see....they no one but the best teaching them. I love this Man!! I am so proud of what he has instilled in his children and how hard he works to achieve his goals. This year we took it all home, from Junior Champion clear up to Supreme Champion!! I was so impressed at the job our fitter Chris did and how hard Ben worked to get the cows look their BEST too. What an accomplishment this year!!

Allysen went from loving her baby "Elsie" to being scared to death and by the time she was ready to show, she was so brave that she showed her! We were so proud of her.

What a Proud Mommy moment this was. My little baby all grown up and off to conquer the world of showing cows. Just like his daddy!

Allysen's Birthday!!

Puzzles, puzzles and more puzzles

This is so amzing to me!!! I can't hardly believe that Briggs is able to do these 24 piece puzzles all by him self. I got these puzzles a couple of weeks ago for Allysen, little did I know that these would be Briggs' favorite thing to do. Any time I don't know where he is, I can walk into the living room to find him like this. I had all the puzzles sorted into 10 little baggies to start out, but before I knew it he had mixed them all up in the box. I was worried that he wouldn't be able to do the puzzles then because it would be to hard for him. He just sits down and spills all the pieces all over the table and gets to work. One by one he completes the puzzles. How amazing, at 2 1/2!!!

Briggs.....and Football

Briggs loves football and he got the jersey he is wearing from papa Jack for Christmas and won't take it off for anything (well if mommy can bribe him with something good then he might give it up), but only long enough for it to get washed.

Since Briggs loves football so much he is constantly trying to tackle everyone that is in his way. One day he kept tackling one of the little boys that i watch and i asked him if he hurt him. He said "No mom, I just play football". So then we had to have a little talk on how he could only tackle daddy or papa and not little kids. He agreed and so every night dad walks in the door from work he has to be ready to get tackled. The dog even watches Briggs a little bit closer now too. It may not be the best thing right now, but I am hoping that it pays off when he is playing in the NFL!!!

The Rains came down and........

...... the floods came up! Okay so I am a little late at posting and a little out of order. This is December 3rd at our new house. It is almost enough water to go swimming in!!! Ahhhhhhhh!!! Well it was pretty interesting, but we all survived it and nothing and no one was hurt.

This picture was taken from our front door. The water wasn't this high five minutes earlier, and it continued to rise over the sidewalk into the night. I did move my car though just to be on the safe side. I love watching nature move in mysterious ways, well as long as it stays outside!
