Hecka Big!!!

So I had Ben take a picture of my ever so growing belly the other day, and I was completely shocked to see how much I had grown!!! It seems like in the last two weeks that my belly just took a major growth spurt. hehehe...So here is a new picture! (for some reason it won't turn the right way for me.) So I guess this is how you will have to see it!

My belly is definately growing.....

So I thought I would give you a series of my belly growth. I knew it had getting big fast but it just shows in the pictures how fast. I love that I have been taking pictures since we found out we were having twins and knew that my belly would grow faster then previous pregnancies.

kicks and giggles

I was just pondering back to the first time I felt the twins move. I know this sounds crazy but at about 14 weeks was when I really knew my baby(well at the time we didn't know it was twins) was moving. My mom agreed that yes I could probably be feeling the baby move. Then one day I was at my mom's house and I said man this baby is really moving. "It" keeps pushing out right her around my right hip. My mom just laughed as did my sister and then they said well maybe it is just gas. I said "umm, No I am pretty sure this is the baby." Yet again they laughed thinking I was oh so funny. So I left thinking thanks, but really I knew it was the "babies". After we found out 6 weeks earlier that yes that was really the babies (cause there were two) then I got to laugh. I can't believe that we are here at week 24 and that I have two babies growing inside my womb. I still feel that it is so surreal sometimes that I can actually be having twins. I am so excited to see what the future will hold and I cherish every hiccup and kick and little movement these two precious girls make. I am so thankful to have to healthy little girls growing oh so quickly. I am also thankful for daughter and two sons I have here on earth. I cherish their laughter, their wittiness, and their sweet spirits everyday.

TWO TWO TU-TU TOO TOO

Are you seeing a trend? Well we are doubling the fun in this pregnancy with TWIN Girls!! I can't believe it still. I look at our pictures sitting here and realize yes they really do say "twin A" and "twin B". It is so exciting and a little overwhelming all at once. I know that will My Father in Heaven's help I can do anything. So with that knowledge I am a more at peace. I would like to share the story of when we found out that we were having twins.

I first want to share that I thought this pregnancy was really different from the previous 3 that I have had and just couldn't put my finger on why. I didn't think in a million years that we would actually be the parents of twins, none the less we joked about it quite frequently.

On Wednesday, January 12, 2011 we had our ultrasound scheduled. Ben wasn't feeling very well, mostly just a horrible stomachache and headache. He called me and said he wasn't sure if we should go over to Portland with the weather the way it was and that maybe we should just stay home. I told him that I was already checking the weather and had a text to one of my friends and was just waiting to hear back from her to make sure the roads were safe. He called a again and I said that we were already getting ready and that I felt we should go and that we could always turn around if the roads weren't safe for our family to go over. So we left at about 9:15 and before we even hit Highway 6 we turned around to go home and get our chains for our tires "just in case". Then we started out again after 9:30am. Our apt was at 11:30 so we had plenty of time to make it there. The mountain pass was perfectly clear and the wind never once made our car sway as we drove. I feel like we were truly blessed and watched over on the journey! We arrived about 11:00 am and waited for the doctor. Might I add he was truly wonderful!!!

We headed back to the room and he asked a few questions. I had let him know that this pregnancy had been different and that I had been a lot more morning sick then the others. He said well let's get to this! I got up on the table as the kids and Ben looked on. (Yes we took our 3 children with us) Dr. Ed started on the lower left hand side of my stomach and started right away measuring the baby. I let him know that we would like to know the sex of the baby if he could tell and he was more than willing to tell us. As he moved the ultrasound wand up to about my belly button and towards the right he told us that we were having a little girl. We were so excited!! (I knew I was having a girl) Then he looked up and said uuuhhh....and I looked at him and said "is that another baby?" He looked at me and said "do you see this line right here? I said "yes" he said this is the membrane that separates the two babies....Ben sat down, as he was trying to entertain Kiptyn, and said " No way,we can't be having twins, there are no twins on either side of our families." Dr. Ed said "well there are two, it can't be anymore clear than this". He then proceeded measuring the second baby and told us that they are indeed both girls. We sat there in awe and all I could do it just laugh and say no way, I can't believe this. Ben really didn't say much, as what do you say?? The older two children would just smile every time we said there was two babies. They I am sure were just as shocked!!! Now a few days later reality is setting in and we are just trying to figure out the order in which we need to do all the many things we were planning to do anyway, just twice as much now.. Great blessings come in small packages and I feel very blessed to be carrying two choice spirits for my Father in Heaven. I feel very blessed to be a key instrument in his hands. I know that with faith I can do all things that the Lord asks of me to do.

My latest projects.

So as you can see I have sewn a lot over the past few months. These are all Christmas presents that I made for my children or for a few other special children. This picture just below is of a carseat blanket that I made for my friends brand new little one. It turned out marvelous and I can't wait to make one for our little one.

Heading in to the New Year

I can't believe how fast this last year has gone by. Lots of things have happened this year both GREAT and not so great. I would just like to recap this past year before we head into the new one. Allysen turned 6 this year and started 1st grade. Man she is turning into such a little lady. She is still very little and dainty but ever so feisty. I love her sweet face and how caring she is for both her younger brothers. She is reading at a second grade level and loving school and her teacher. Briggs turned 5 this last summer and is in kindergarten. He loves his teacher and he is also reading now. I can't believe what a great job he is doing as he learns and grows. He is very tall now and bigger than his sister. He is very kind and loves his brother and sister. He also loves to work with his daddy at the dairy and do anything that is cow related. He is able to pack wood in now and help out with whatever he is asked. I love his sweet snuggles and his willingness to help out. Kiptyn...oh Kiptyn. He is 1 and very busy. He loves to play with his kitty Hobo and run around the house chasing anyone he can. He loves to take things apart and put them back together again, and take things out and put them back in. He knows how to say quite a few words now and he can pick up his toys, put his laundry away, and pretty much anything you ask him to do. He is such a daddy's boy as he runs to see daddy when he hears our back door open or close. I love his silly personality and and his joy for life!!
Ben has been working and spending time with his family...pretty normal. He and I were able to go to a cow show with out the "big" kids this year. We did quite well and had a great time with just little Kiptyn. Rosalee took Reserve Sr. Champion and we also took 1st in two other classes. We were pleased. I have been doing daycare for 6 kids total this year. I still like to be home with my kids and being able to spend time with other sweet children. I have been volunteering in Briggs' kindergarten class and have been enjoying that as well. We are expecting another wee baby in June and are all excited about having another addition. For our sad news this year we lost Tucker our golden retriever this December. It was very sudden and unexpected. We are very sad about this but we also know that God has a bigger plan than we do.We have had a year of growing changing and fun times. We also had a very Merry Christmas.

Amazing!!!

This Woman is an amazing woman of Christ. This moved me in a way I can not describe! This video inspires me to be an amazing daughter, mother, sister, and friend of Jesus Christ in my every day life!! I want to have more patience talk kinder and show more love to my children every day!

3 months later....

Needless to say I have been away from my blog for quite some time!!! Well we have done alot over the last 3 months and this is what we did today!!! What adorable pictures of us courtesy of my friend Denise!!! We love to swim as a family!!!

Feeling fabulous??

Well I can honestly say I haven't been feeling so fabulous these days. I am over weight, can't keep the house clean, never have dinner done on time, and the list goes on!!!! I decided that I need to feel fabulous in order to be a better wife, mother, sister and daughter! I knew that I couldn't do this alone and have been consistent in finding the more fabulous ME! I started doing some simple things to find my more fabulous spirit first. I have been indulging in the scriptures and teaching my children the stories in the Book of Mormon as well. Now on to nourishing my outer fabulous me as well. I joined Somewhat Simple's Feeling Fabulous Challenge and decided to try to make a change to feel a bit more fabulous in my daily routine!

I challenge each of you MOM's out there to make a daily routine in be coming more FABULOUS!!!

1st Halloween

With this Halloween being Kiptyn's first Halloween, I had to make him some cute babylegs. So here they are. Tell me what you think cause they were supper easy to make.

Kiptyn is 5 weeks old

I can't believe how fast time flies!!! Kiptyn is already 5 weeks old. He is so sweet and such a chunk!!! We love his chubby face!!!

The Loaf Love tour.....

Right now Tillamook Cheese is kicking off their loaf love tour. It was so cool to see the baby loaf buses at the fair and eat cheese. My kids loved these little buses so we just had to get some photos.

Fair....

Well it is that time again...You know when we load up all our stuff and our cows and head to the fair. This year Briggs and Allysen got to take their own calves to fair and show them. They had a blast. The loved telling all the "city folk" about them and they especially loved showing them. I love this time of year. Here is Allysen with Rosalee.

Name!!!

So we decided to give our baby boy a nickname until he is born so that we just wouldn't call him baby or boy or whatever. You get my point right?? Well now we have come up with what we are really are going to name him. And it has really been bugging me lately that our kids still call him baby Maks when really he has a totally different name. Weird I know since the nick name idea was mine. Well I was dealing with it until last night when we were at the dairy with Ben and he said "can't we just tell the kids his name so we don't have to call him Maks anymore?" I then realized that it was bothering Ben just as much as it was bothering me. Hallelujah!!! So we told our children "his" name. So if you want to know his name you will have to ask one of them. The funny thing about it is that they don't even remember his name most of the time!!! LOL

Preggo Belly Pics

I decided that maybe I should post so belly pics before I get to the end and don't have any......

I am 31 weeks pregnant in these photos not very far until we get to meet our little guy!!!

Overdue....

No I am not overdue to have our baby, but I am overdue for a new post!!! I can't find my camera and that is typically the reason I post, cause I have some new photos. Well not today. I just decided that I needed to get my rear in gear and keep up with my blog.

I am almost 31 weeks. Now that is so exciting. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has been. I just can't wait to meet our little guy and see who he looks like. He is such a joy to be pregnant with and I am always feeling him kick and move.

Briggs has been the most defiant child lately, PLEASE tell me this is just a faze..... I don't think I can handle this is whole life!!! We are constantly talking about respect and how we show people respect. I just get so frustrated some days...

Allysen is growing so fast and I can't believe that she is 5 1/2. She wanted me to make her a princess sash yesterday, so I did. Then she wanted to hand embroider words onto her sash too. I will have to post a pic when I find my camera. She did an awesome job!! Wow I can't believe she can already do this kind of stuff...

I love being a mom but feel I have few patience lately. I guess the only thing I can do is pray for patience everyday. Have a fabulous week everyone!!!
